At Quantoom, our mission is to lower the entry barriers for developing mRNA-based vaccines and therapeutics, facilitating greater access to drug development and production autonomy for our partners through our comprehensive technology platforms.
Located in Nivelles, Belgium, you will become part of a collaborative team of passionate change-makers, playing a crucial role in the definition, execution, and delivery of strategic partnership projects.
Key Responsibilities:
– Monitor advancements in applications relevant to our projects and report significant updates to peers and leadership.
– Identify and contribute to the development of new concepts for RNA molecular design and production of RNA-based medicines.
– Promote innovation and develop promising ideas to proof-of-concept, supporting patent applications as needed.
– Serve as a subject matter expert for the scientific team, providing peer training and due diligence support.
– Provide scientific leadership in the execution and delivery of strategic partnership projects.
– Write and review documentation related to partnership projects accurately and timely.
– Prepare project summaries and updates for presentation to partners and management.
Requirements and Qualifications:
– PhD in molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field with at least 5 years of research experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, or similar.
– Strong knowledge of RNA and/or DNA molecular biology, with expertise in sequence design.
– Experience in RNA vaccine development or RNA expression systems is a plus.
– Knowledge of infectious disease immunology or immune-oncology is advantageous.
– Well-organized and experienced in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
– Strong observational skills, proactivity, and flexibility.
– Experience in collaborative research projects with external partners.
– Ability to communicate scientific topics to a non-technical audience effectively.
– Fluency in English and French, with knowledge of additional languages being a plus.
